The Wellington Quarry in Arras offers a tour specially designed for families: « Personal Memory ». This immersive journey takes you into the history of these underground galleries where 24,000 British soldiers hid before the Battle of Arras in April 1917.
The family tour allows younger visitors to understand history through touching stories and period objects. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays throughout the summer, at 2:40pm, this adapted tour makes history accessible to everyone.
A powerful moment of memory and emotion, 20 meters underground, in the heart of the mining basin.
