Arras becomes a true Christmas village for almost a month. Wooden chalets, lights, a giant Christmas tree, an ice rink and carousels take over the Grand’Place and Place des Héros, framed by listed Baroque facades.
Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday 12 pm–9 pm; Friday and Saturday 12 pm–10.30 pm. Entry to the market is free. The ice rink and some attractions charge a fee.
The exceptional setting of Arras’s squares, with the belfry and town hall as a backdrop, makes this one of the most photogenic Christmas markets in northern France.
