    Auchy Rétro: The First Edition of the Vintage Vehicle Show in Auchy-les-Mines

    The Old School Hangar association is launching the first edition of Auchy Rétro, a free day dedicated to vehicles over 30 years old. 300 exhibitors are expected to present vintage cars, military vehicles, tractors, motorbikes and mopeds. Visitors can browse some twenty stands including a swap meet.

    The day will feature entertainment: motorbike rides, country dancing at 11am and 2pm, an elegance contest at 3pm and two concerts by the Rodéo Spirit band at 12pm and 4pm. A friendly event that will delight vintage vehicle enthusiasts and curious visitors alike!

    The afternoon and evening will be filled with family entertainment: wooden games by the Kaléido centre, creative workshops by the Coron des arts collective, artistic face painting and temporary tattoos. Festive processions by the Wizzz company and the Arcadia troupe are planned. At 9:30pm, the evening will end with a spectacular fire show: juggling, fire apparatus, fire breathers and a fire fan dancer.

Discover the great monuments such as the belfry and the Saint-Pierre Collegiate Church, the pretty facades of Old Douai, the Bertin Park, and the fascinating history of the city and the role of the Scarpe River in its development.
