    The 9-9bis offers a diorama initiation workshop, specially designed for children aged 6 to 12! This creative workshop allows young visitors to build their own small three-dimensional scene, inspired by the mining world and the landscape of the basin.

    Guided by the 9-9bis mediators, children will discover diorama techniques while learning about the history of the mining site. A fun and educational moment, perfect for keeping the little ones busy during the holidays!

    The 9-9bis offers a sport and heritage morning with a Nordic walk through the land of slag heaps! Accompanied by a heritage guide and a trainer from Étoile Oignies Athlétisme, you’ll discover the history of the mining site while learning Nordic walking techniques.

    This walk between sport and history will take you to higher ground to contemplate the landscape that has formed and now makes up the Mining Basin, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Walking poles are provided by the association — just bring your hiking shoes or sneakers!

    A family-friendly and accessible activity, perfect for combining heritage discovery and physical well-being. See you on Sunday morning at 9-9bis!

    This original tour combines industrial heritage with sensory discovery: smell the damp earth of the slag heaps, the wild flowers colonizing former mining sites, the aromatic herbs of industrial wastelands. A one-of-a-kind moment for all ages, far from the usual guided tours.

    The 9-9bis invites you to a meet & drink event dedicated to Fleury Joseph Crépin, a legendary figure of Art Brut. Joined by Savine Faupin, curator at LaM (Lille Métropole Musée d’Art moderne), this evening dives into the fascinating world of a miner who became a visionary artist.

    Fleury Joseph Crépin (1875-1948) was a miner from the coal basin who, driven by mystical visions, produced works of great graphic complexity. His drawings, true geometric mandalas, are now recognized as masterpieces of Art Brut and exhibited worldwide.

    The perfect opportunity to discover the unique artistic heritage of the mining basin, where mining history meets spontaneous creation. Drinks and snacks will be offered in a friendly atmosphere.
