The Denain Museum pays tribute to Lucien Jonas, an official painter of the Great War born in the region. This exhibition explores his work at the crossroads of coal and steel, symbols of the Northern industrial landscape.
A prolific artist, Lucien Jonas documented the lives of miners and steelworkers with a gaze both realistic and sensitive. His paintings tell the story of a territory shaped by industry.
